You’ve had a filing that’s been rejected — and sometimes that will happen. At MyFileRunner, we make resubmissions a piece of cake. You’ve got enough stress to deal with, and we keep that in mind. So let’s get you back in the game.
The first thing you’ll do is locate the rejected filing. Under the action items, you’ll notice a red paper icon — go ahead and click that button.
Step one will load and you’ll notice that all the information from your previous submission is already saved. Scroll down and press the Next button.
In Step two, you’ll see that your party information has already been saved. Scroll down and move to Step three — Service Contacts. No information needs to be added here, so click Next.
Step four is Filings. You’ll notice a red note that reads: “You do not need to add details in this filing — please manage details for the document that has been rejected or canceled by clicking the pencil above.” Click the green pencil.
Your screen will load just as it did when you first submitted the filing. You’ll see your filing type, client matter number, file, and description. You’ll also notice an automatically generated note stating that this is a resubmission of the original filing with the original timestamp. This means that when accepted, the court will accept it at its original submission time.
Scroll down to the document section. You’ll see your lead document with a gray X next to it — press the gray X to remove the document. Now click Browse, select the updated document you wish to upload, and once uploaded you’ll see your new document. Add the document description and select the document security type.
Review all the details — everything has been saved as discussed. Scroll down and click Save and Next.
This takes you to Step five, the Summary page. You’ll see all your information saved under Case Information. Check the Parties dropdown, confirm your document is uploaded under Filings, verify your Service Contacts, and review your fees. Everything looks good — you’re ready to submit.
We told you this was easy. You have enough stress, and we try to make it as simple as possible. Now you’re ready to move on with your day — happy filing!
